Staying social and physically active is central to self care as we get older. It can be tempting to decide that we cannot be very active any more. This is an out-dated idea as more and more older people are taking up new sports or other activities. Walking groups have never been more popular, which is unsurprising given they can improve everything from blood pressure to mental health. There are a number of activities available to older people in Bracknell Forest that can help to keep you fit, active and social.
Do you have arthritis or joint paint? Do you find it stiff or painful when you go to tie your shoelaces? Would you like to be able to move more freely? If so, chair yoga is for you.
A one hour weekly session can help mobilise stiff joints and improve flexibility.
